Botox 20th Anniversary

In 2022, BOTOX celebrated its 20th year since being approved by the FDA.  In the spirit of this historic event, we worked in partnership to design, engineer, and manufacture of national installation of a gigantic replica BOTOX vial.  Standing at around 30’ tall, it was the largest freestanding engineering we had managed at the time.  With a combination of lighting, steel, plastics, and whole lot of logistical hurdles, we were proudly able to create this one-of-a-kind interactive art-installation that toured NYC-CHI-LA.  While we like to think of it less as art and more as one of our most successful puzzles solved…at the end of the day, the coolness of this project was well reflected in the faces of the folk who came to check out the build. 

Now for the nerdy bit…this project was notable to us because it marked the beginning of research into the benefits of plastics (PLA, PVA, PVC, etc) as a reliable building material—and knowing which type of plastics will achieve 'x'.  Specifically for this project, the team had to focus on modular construction, weatherproof engineering, and 360* visibility... and with a footprint of 20’ w x 40’L  x 30’ T, you can imagine eyes were EVERYWHERE!
